When you type in the url Tumblr.com, you should see a sign up page, that says Email, Password, and URL. Your URL is basically a username. Basically what you do is enter your Email, enter a (secure) password, and make up a url. You can change your url at any time you wish.

After that, you should be able to log in and customise your blog the way you want to. If you need anymore help feel free to shoot me another message. I’m glad I could help.
